The way Blooket works is simple. A teacher or host chooses a question set with a game mode. This platform generates a code that the host/teacher can share with players/students. By entering the code, students can join the game on their PC or mobile and start playing the game. Students need to answer questions to get rewards. Here is a synopsis of how Blooket works:

How Sign Up on Blooket

  • Browse the website blooket.com on your device. 
  • Go to the top right corner and tap on the Sign Up option. 
  • Choose an option to sign up – Sign up with Email or Sign up with Google. 
  • Follow the on-screen instructions and steps to verify your account if you choose to Sign up with Google.  
  • Enter your email address and check the box against the option – I can receive email. It is possible that the Blooket does not allow you to sign up with an email in your region. 
  • Copy the code that you receive and enter it into the box on the window of blooket.com. 
  • Click on the tab/option – Confirm Code. 
  • Type a secure password and confirm it by retyping it. 
  • Now, click on Next. 
  • Type your username and check the box to certify that you meet the minimum age criteria. 
  •  Now, tap on Let’s Go. 
  • Keep in mind students/players do not need to Sign Up or create an account on the Blooket.

How to Host a Blooket Game as a Teacher/Host

  • Go to the dashboard of the Blooket. 
  • Choose a set you want to play with. After that, click on the set to open it. 
  • Choose the option – Host. 
  • Choose a game mode from the available 12 game modes – Deceptive Dinos, Monster Brawl, Blook Rush, Tower Defense, etc.
  • Tap on the Host option.  
  • Set a time limit and check the box against the desired option under Gold Quest Settings. The options are Show Instructions, Use Random Names, Allow Late Joining, and Allow Student Accounts. 
  • Tap on the option – Host Now – when you are ready to let your students play the game.   
  • Guide students on how they can join the game. 
  • Click on the Start button when all players/students get in the game. It will begin the game. 

How to View Skills, Player Limits, and Suggested Minimums

  • Choose Host after opening a Question Set. 
  • Go through the description box after choosing a game mode. 

How to Use Random Names for Students in a Blooket Game

  • Come to Game Settings as you choose a Question set and Game Mode. 
  • Scroll down the options under Gold Quest Settings and check the box next to Use Random Names. It will assign a randomly generated nickname for your students. It would be better for you to avoid this and let students enter their user names.

How to Join Blooket as a Student/Player

  • Open a web browser on your PC and type play.blooket.com in the address bar. You can open the Blooket app if you have it on your mobile. 
  • Type a 7-digit code that you can receive from the host/teacher. 
  • Or, scan the QR code by using the camera of your mobile. 
  • Or, open the Join Link that the host/teacher has shared with you through an email or message.  
  • Type a nickname for you. It will be displayed on the screen of the game. You will get a randomly generated nickname if the host has checked the option – Use Random Names. 
  • Select a Blook, which is a little block that loves to play. 
  • Wait until all members join and your teacher starts the game. 
  • Start playing the game and answer questions and participate in activities during the game.
